How does the AOR finance itself, and what is the money used for?
The A.O.R. is financed by membership dues, donations and the sales from our online shop. As an international non-profit (charitable) organization, we can keep membership dues low, because almost all the administrative work is done voluntarily.
With the contributions, for example, we pay rent for the premises in which our study circles and meditation groups take place, cover fees for hosting our website and so on. Every cent flows into the work of the Rosicrucians to spread the light.
What makes the A.O.R so unique?
The A.O.R. is the new dressing of the inner secret order. It is probably the only initiatory Rosicrucian Order that offers a clear educational curriculum for people of the Aquarian Age who want to come into contact with the ageless wisdom.
How can you recognize a true Rosicrucian?
The human ego wants evidence in the world of forms. True Rosicrucians do recognize each other. Their signs of recognition and identification cannot be faked or imitated. They are more subtle than the signs and codes of ordinary secret societies.
There are several sites and organizations using the term 'Rose Cross' or 'Rosicrucian' in their names. Some of them are custodians of the true Rosicrucian tradition just like us. Some others are communities of common interests calling themselves Rosicrucians without any regard to the true Rosicrucian teachings.
We are sure you can distinguish on your own.
What makes an order authentic?
Neither a document nor a publication can make an order an authentic order.
An authentic order is installed by the masters of it's inner school. These masters are the guardians of the ageless wisdom who pass on the principles of truth that are used in the instruction of the Rosicrucians. They do this non-verbally in an abstract form.
These abstractions are beyond the linguistic level or frequency of images. They are in the frequency of the actual meaning. Adepts are in contact with that meaning. The masters of the inner school transmit the power of initiation to the order.
Initiation is a most magical act that makes true spiritual progress possible.
What is western esotericism?
True esotericism means the theory and practice of the secret arts and sciences. There were whole civilizations practicing secret arts, including the ancient Egyptians. The Orient practices esotericism openly with Yoga. Occidental esotericism aims for the needs of occidental people.
The origins of western esotericism are attributed to the ancient mystery cults of Isis and Osiris, Eleusis, Gnosticism, Sufis, and Essenes Templars and Melchizedek.
Among the notable and best-known representatives of the Western Tradition are Moses, Pharaoh Echnaton, Pythagoras, John the Baptist, Agrippa of Nettesheim, Benjamin Franklin, Claude Debussy, Eliphas Lévi, Francis Bacon, Giordano Bruno, Count of Saint Germain, Heinrich Khunrath, Isaac Newton , Jakob Böhme, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Johannes Kepler, Emperor Francis I, King Friedrich Wilhelm II, Leonardo da Vinci, Papus, Paracelsus, Paul F. Case, René Descartes, Stephen of Lorraine, Thomas Jefferson and William Westcott.
Does the AOR keep any secrets?
The A.O.R. keeps many secrets. Even if we were to try and demonstrate them - put them into words or describe them in all colors and forms - they would still remain secrets.
The greatest secrets cannot be transmitted, neither by spoken nor by written word. They are only available for those who are prepared to receive them. This requires - as every superior science does - the ability to draw conclusions beyond all usual imagination.
You will find the keys of the Rosicrucian`s secrets only by experiencing the rituals of the A.O.R..
What has the novel "The Chymical Wedding " to do with the Rosicrucians?
The mystical novel "The Chymical Wedding", that interpreted the initials of the symbolic founder C.R. falsely by the name Christian Rosenkreutz, appeared 1616, shortly after the Fama Fraternitatis. Johann Valentin Andreae is said to be the author. This novel is not part of the Rosicrucians teachings and is no publication of the Order of Rosicrucians.
Does the AOR help me to solve my personal problems?
Yes! The problems arise in our lives because we interpret experiences almost solely on the basis of appearance. Therefore this incomplete interpretation can be nothing but wrong. The whole point of training in a mystery school is just this: to impart knowledge that is hidden behind manifestation, so that you can correct your false interpretations and solve the problems by yourself.
Or put more simply: Mystery schools teach their students to find the reality behind the visible manifestations. That is the path of self-knowledge and knowledge of the world.
